Center for Academic and Student Engagement

The new center, which opened in 2010, embodies our commitment to academic excellence. Located in the heart of IU’s athletic campus, this 25,800-square-foot center for student-athletes includes:

  • A state-of-the-art computer lab
  • Collaborative study areas
  • Quiet study rooms
  • Three classrooms
  • Private tutor rooms
  • Staff offices

Much more than that, however, our new center also provides an intellectual and social community that contributes to the holistic development of student-athletes and stimulates camaraderie among every student throughout our 24 sports.

Accountability and integrity.  We measure and manage academic achievement by student-athlete, program and our department as a whole. To ensure integrity, our department’s academic support programs are evaluated independently by the University.

Partnerships.  We want our student-athletes to achieve intellectual greatness. To make this a reality, we use every possible resource that our University has to offer–actively developing and fostering partnerships with professors, people and campus committees.
